SANYO San Diego Team Celebrates Earth Month with beach Cleanup effort on "Earth Month"

Embracing SANYO’s
“Think GAIA” brand vision, dozens of SANYO volunteers from the San
Diego area, together with friends and family, showed up bright and
early Saturday, April 26th to participate in the sixth annual “Creek to
Bay Cleanup”. Park of world-wide celebration in honor of Earth Month,
this popular local initiative focuses on the preservation of San
Diego’s natural environment.

Masami Murata kicked off the event by expressing his gratitude to the
dedicated SANYO volunteers. “It is important to give back to our local
community and help preserve the environment we all share,” Murata
noted.
“Creek to Bay Cleanup” is organized by one of San
Diego’s leading non-profit groups, “I Love A Clean San Diego”
(ILACSD). This year, over 4,000 motivated volunteers collected an
astonishing 160,000 pounds of debris from 130 miles of coastlines and
open space areas. “This is a very good case; we definitely want to
continue and hopefully expand our efforts in the future, “ noted
Akihiko Oiwa, SANYO’s Corporate Communications Director.
